ICF Strategic Plan
The International Coach Federation now operates according to a comprehensive Strategic Plan. This plan was prepared by the International Coach Federation Board of Directors in partnership with our members, our global leadership teams, our staff and an association expert.

2008 Strategic Plan Priorities
During their first meeting in 2008, the Board reviewed the ICF strategic plan and set priorities for 2008. Focusing on these objectives will help the ICF meet its core purpose to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching. This year's priorities include:
• Increase ICF members’ professional development including educational and networking opportunities;
• Increase the competitive brand advantage that the ICF Credential offers; and
• Acquire ISO compliance for the ICF Credentialing program.
What does this mean to you?
Your association is focused and prepared to work toward the goals you have identified as important. Rather than pursuing a lot of "good" work, the ICF Board is making sure the association is clear on what activities will produce the best value for members.
